Music for Rain

Water is the source of life. When I think about this greatest of gifts it’s usually in the form of rain. Watch a rain storm sometime and you will see a dance and the music to this dance might sound like my piano composition The Way of the Rain. It’s a ballet, really, with full sensory effects. A few drops bring that wonderful smell, especially here in the Rocky Mountains. Then some heavier drops start the cooling sensation on your skin and accompanied by a breeze, if you are paying full attention to this gift, can make you feel completely rejuvenated. Observing raindrops in a body of water or even just a puddle supplies a wonderful calming of the soul. In my opinion there is nothing more soothing than sleeping with a window open and listening to a summer shower. Try it and you might be surprised at how well you sleep. It is magical and I hope you can hear the magic in the music. Thanks for listening.
